Twice the sun

Today is a landmark in the journey of the sun through our valley.  For the last 10 days, it's been peeking out through Carpenter Creek valley for progressively longer periods of time... maybe up to 6 minutes in the late afternoons

And this morning, for the first time in roughly 6 weeks, it showed its face on the other side of King Mountain.  It shined down on us for about 8 minutes as it moved through the notch above the glacier in Carbon Creek.

Now with 15 plus minutes of sun a day, when the weather is clear enough to see it, it's time to sweep the accumulated snow off the solar panels and tend the batteries.

We're moving quickly back into the zone of less reliance on generator backup, and more ability to work with renewable power.  YEAH!
