Kissed by the sun

Yeah, another milestone in our path around the sun... there's actually a touch of warmth to it's rays now, as the chocolate in front of the window next to my computer actually started to melt!!!

We're all feeling a little giddy with the splendor of 24 degree days and not a breath of wind.  There's lots of sun now, with 8+ hours of daylight, and things are getting cleaner around here by leaps and bounds.

I'm scrubbing and decluttering indoors, while Ben is picking up and organizing outdoors - and between us we've really put a dent in the mess that creeps up when its so dark all the time.

Otherwise, life is bit mundane around here.  We're settling into the rhythms of caring for our expanded goat herd and flock of birds... sprouting alot of barley for the chickens, and spending a good amount of time with the goats.... and making a ton of cheese.

Sometimes it's good when things aren't too exciting, and we can just settle in to this thing called life without too much extra effort.  It doesn't take much to turn the tide... a big storm, some broken down equipment, a sick family or animals.  We'll take the quiet for today!
